Intended use
Cleavage that complements trypsin
Lys-C cleaves after lysine and Glu-C after glutamic acid, giving peptide maps that complement a tryptic digest. For cleavage after both lysine and arginine, see Trypsin; to remove C-terminal lysine or arginine, see Carboxypeptidase B.
